How do I become a Volunteer? _______________________________________________ Volunteers are a valuable resource to MRCT and we could not operate without them So come and join our volunteer team and gain some valuable work experience – and the satisfaction of helping a good cause. Volunteers contribute to the work of MRCT every year. They volunteer in our office or at Maybury Open Door and Harlow Foodbank. Full training will be given and you can work flexible hours to suit your availability. We do ask that volunteers are committed before they apply. All volunteers will be required to undertake a CRB Enhanced Disclosure after the first month of their probation period, which will be funded by MRCT. Current vacancies include: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Volunteers to cover general work in the centre and/or in the kitchen Monday & Friday Volunteers to meet and greet referred clients Volunteers to sort out donated food for referred clients Harlow Foodbank Supermarket Collections Mainly Saturdays Volunteers to meet with customers and promote food donations Driver with own vehicle – to pick up and deliver food to the warehouse What do I do next? If you have found a volunteer role above that you would like to apply for please contact our office and we will send you out information and a volunteer application form. No matter how much time you have available, you can be sure it will make a big difference to people in Harlow. Our volunteers are essential to everything we do. |
