MRCT is run by people for people and our support comes from individuals and organisations. There are many ways in which you can help us to encourage and support others, by giving your time or by giving a donation to our work. How you can help us Regular giving is the LIFEBLOOD of any charity as it guarantees financial income and helps the trustees to plan for the future development of the work. If you would like to make a financial contribution towards the work of the Michael Roberts Charitable Trust (MRCT) there are several ways you can do this which are listed below:
Legacy giving One way in which you can support MRCT is by leaving a LEGACY gift in your will. Have you thought how this could help and what do you need? How to leave a legacy to MRCT If you would like to leave a legacy to MRCT, either by writing a will for the first time or by amending your existing will, we strongly recommend that you use the services of a professional adviser. This is not as complex as it may sound, and it is a reliable way of ensuring that your wishes are carried out accurately. A professional adviser will be able to explain to you the different types of legacy you can leave. Before meeting with your adviser, here are a few points to remember. Making or amending a will They will be able to help you to determine the value of your estate (this includes for example the value of any property you own). Many people find that their estate is worth more than they thought - meaning that a legacy can help more people than they expected. You will need to choose someone to be the executor (the person who ensures the will is carried out). It is important to take your existing will with you when you meet with your adviser. Remember that you may need to amend your existing will if you have recently married, divorced, if there is a new family member, or If a family member has died. If you are able to include The Michael Roberts Charitable Trust in your will, your adviser will need our registered charity number and address details, which are given on our contacts page. Please speak to Gary Knott at the MRCT office for more details Standing order By making this type of payment you can ensure that your regular donation is made without the hassle of writing out cheques or sending money direct. Whether making a GENERAL DONATION or GIFT AID DONATION this arrangement is simple and only needs to be completed once. Just complete the MRCT Standing Order form and return to us and we will do the rest for you. Contact the MRCT office for a standing order mandate Gift Aid donation Making a single or regular GIFT AID DONATION simply means that MRCT can claim back the income tax from the Inland Revenue on the amount of money you give at no extra cost to you as an individual. Just make your donation and complete an MRCT Gift Aid Declaration Form then leave the rest to us.
