To enchance the lives in individual people

The aim of the FULLIFE Poland Project is to enhance the lives of individual people with profound disabilities in Poland, showing Christian care in action.

This is achieved by valuing them as individuals and enabling them, through sensory stimulation, social interaction and physical activity, to develop to their full potential.

MRCT has been working at the EDUCATIONAL CHILDCARE CENTRE (School) in Slupsk, Poland since January 2007 and undertakes this work in partnership with the centre and with the Slupsk Pentecostal Church.

The School supports over 400 students with a wide range of physical, learning and mental disabilities.  The centre offers both day pupil services and boarding provision should it be required.

Students ages range from 6 to 25 and MRCT work specifically with individual people who have a profound physical and learning disability.

What do we provide?

A fully equipped SNOEZELEN room at the school which seeks to create a highly flexible interactive environment with countless activities to stimulate most of the sensory experiences of each student who attends.

Snoezelen - creates a truly unique sensory experience

  • A daily activity programme which ENCOURAGES and ENABLES students with profound disabilities to reach their full potential in association with their specially structured school educational programme.

  • Two Polish Activity Support Workers to undertake the daily activity programme in the SNOEZELEN room working in partnership with teachers, physiotherapists, speech therapists and other professional staff. These workers are provided by the Slupsk Pentecostal Church and funded by MRCT.

  • Training & development for the MRCT Activity Support Workers in association with the school and planned visits from MRCT staff from the UK each year.

  • The SNOEZELEN room is also available to non-school students outside of the MRCT daily programme which helps to ensure that a wide range of disabled children and young adults from the local community can benefit from this valuable resource.
