December 2009
On Monday 7th December
2009 Sue Mullis (MRCT Community Coordinator) attended a specially
arranged meal at The Fox Inn at Matching Tye to celebrate 10 years of
service with MRCT. In attendance at the meal with Sue were John
Robson (MRCT Trustee) and Gary & Teresa Knott (Founder members of MRCT).

Sue first started working
with MRCT as a Community Worker...
at the Maybury Centre at Harefield
Church in Harlow in November 1999 in a joint venture with the
Shaftesbury Society (now Livability). In her time with the charity
Sue has spearheaded the work of the Maybury Centre (now Maybury Open
Door) at Harefield Church and was instrumental in helping to further
develop the project at St Paul's Church in Harlow Town Centre in May
2005.
Sue was also a member of
the FULLIFE Poland team working in both Koszalin and Slupsk, until the
project was completed in March 2009.
In 2008 Sue was promoted
to the role of MRCT Community Coordinator, working with Gary Knott to
oversee the charities community projects and also develop new
opportunities in the local area. Since then she has played an
active role in the development of Harlow Foodbank.
After enjoying a lovely
three course meal Sue was presented with a "Mega Choice Experience"
voucher as a "THANK YOU" for her dedicated and loyal service to MRCT
over the 10 years of her employment.
Gary Knott (Director of
Community Services) commented -
"Sue has played an
active part in the continuation and development of the work of MRCT in
the community for the ten years she has been with the charity. Her
dedication and commitment has been exemplary and many people have
greatly benefited from her "People Skills" and her vision to "ENABLE"
people and to give them a "VOICE" in all that we do."
After the celebration
meal Sue commented -
"Just a quick line to say
thank you so much for a wonderful 10th anniversary celebration. I
came away feeling very full, not just of good food, but with the lovely
company, and the love and kindness I have received from you today, and
over the 10 years. Thank you too for the very thoughtful presents, which
were quite overwhelming, and which I will enjoy for many years to
come...!!!
Your words were also very
kind and very undeserved, but a great encouragement".
