Harlow foodbank opens | ||
|
June 2009 Since opening, Harlow foodbank have issued 32 food vouchers and supported 41 adults and 20 children with emergency food in Harlow.
Currently the foodbank work in partnership with over 20 churches from Harlow and the surrounding area. They also have 18 local frontline professional care agencies working with them as Distributors (voucher holders), including the Salvation Army, MP Bill Rammell's office, Harlow Welfare Rights and CAB. The foodbank has received donated food from churches, schools and individuals and to date have collected 2.8 metric tonnes and distributed 1.3 tonnes of food to people in need in Harlow. Harlow foodbank still needs much more donated food to meet needs of people in crisis in Harlow as the work grows so if you can help please contact Gary Knott at the MRCT office.
