Robert Halfon visits the Maybury Centre
Robert Halfon,
Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Harlow,
visited
Maybury-Harefield on Thursday 17th
January 2008 and was there for over two hours talking to staff, volunteers
and users of the service.

This
informal visit was enjoyed by everyone as Robert spent time listening to
people sharing their experiences of the centre. Clare Cooper
(Voluntary Assistant) escorted Robert around during the visit and introduced
him to the various areas of work within the centre.

At the end of his visit Robert spoke to Gary Knott (Director of Community
Services) and said that he was really impressed with the work of the Maybury
Centre. He could clearly see that this simple idea was making such a
difference to people’s lives in Harlow. He also stated that he had
noticed the wonderful atmosphere within the centre which was very welcoming.
