Christmas at Maybury
Maybury - Harefield Christmas Party
Celebrations were in full
swing at the Maybury Centre at Harefield Church on Thursday 20th
December when over 85 people came together to celebrate Christmas. Plenty of
food and soft drinks were served to the guests by Sue, Liz and a team of
dedicated volunteers.
During the afternoon they were all entertained by the
singing group “Silver Linings” who entertained them with sing along carols and
other well known songs.
After all of this fun tea, coffee and hot mince pies
were served which went down a treat. A good time was had by all who attended.
Special thanks go
to Sue, Liz and the team of volunteers who worked so hard on this special
occasion.
Maybury - St Paul's Christmas Lunch Together
This years “Christmas Lunch
Together” was held on Tuesday 18th December and proved to be another
resounding success as over 60 people attended to enjoy the festive treats on
offer.
Hot drinks and light refreshments were served in the morning followed by
a lunch which consisted of a hot jacket potato with a variety of salad delights. Pudding followed with plenty of custard which left everyone satisfied. After
lunch the guests relaxed and at 3pm they all enjoyed “The Last Supper” when all
the left over goodies were eaten along with a drink of their choice.
Everyone
enjoyed the day and special thanks must go to Liz, Sarah and the team of
Voluntary Assistants who did a sterling job in preparing and serving the food
over the course of the day.
