The aim of the Maybury Open Door (formerly known as the Maybury Centre) is to provide opportunities for able-bodied and disabled people to work together to support social need in their local community. It is keen to promote the ABILITY of disabled people and to encourage them to take an active role.

Maybury Open Door - Harefield
Open Monday & Thursday 10.00am to 4.00pm
The Harefield centre is open on Monday and Thursday from 10.00am to 4.00pm
and offers a wide range of activities and an active community programme. It is a
place to relax and meet new friends, read a newspaper or enjoy the activities on
offer. Refreshments and a light lunch are provided during the day for a small
financial contribution.
Open Tuesday 10.00am
to 4.00pm
The St Paul's centre is open on Tuesday from 10.00am to 4.00pm and provides
a place for people in the local community to meet in a relaxed and informal
environment. Here people can make new friends, read a newspaper, play some board
games or just pop in and rest their feet after shopping. Everyone is welcome. Light refreshments are provided throughout the day. The centre operates a VOUCHER SCHEME for homeless and vulnerably housed people which provides them with free food and drink during each visit should it be needed. Providing for Harlow Maybury Open Door supports a wide range of users including the elderly, people with a disability, homeless and vulnerably housed people, people on low income, isolated people and others who just need to venture out and meet new friends.
