A unique ministry using living stones

The Living Stones Drama Group is a unique Christian ministry with a powerful, God given message through each of its drama productions.  The group performs Christian drama to mime, music and narration and tours the UK visiting churches, Christian events and schools.

Established in 1992 and based at Potter Street Baptist Church in Harlow, Essex, our group have been invited to churches and events around the UK and overseas.

The Living Stones Puppet Ministry is a development of the Drama Group particularly for the children frequently in our audiences.  What makes us special? Many of our group have a learning disability.

We are the only Christian drama group with disabled members (to the best of our knowledge), and we have two main aims -

• to promote awareness of the spiritual needs of people with disabilities, and the churches responsibility to address those needs.

• to demonstrate the gifts of our members and show others that people with disabilities have a lot to give - they too are part of God's family and He can use their talents and abilities.

The Living Stones Puppet Ministry

The Living Stones Puppet Ministry was established in 1999 to work in conjunction with Living Stones Drama Group.

The team tour the United Kingdom performing at church services, schools, day centres for people with a learning and / or physical disability and at Christian events.  The aims of the puppet ministry is to promote the Christian faith and to ensure people with a disability are included as part of the team of puppeteers.

Puppets are very effective in providing a positive and fun approach to Christianity and it is always pleasing to see both children and adults enjoying this practical and musical ministry.  Empty streets soon begin to fill with adults and children once puppets are in town. Some people find in difficult to relate to street evangelists and will walk past the speaker but with puppets people seem only to pleased to stop and listen to the message of CHRIST.

Living Stones Puppet Ministry work in association with One Way UK based in Reading who provide puppets, musical CDs and equipment.  They also provide the basic training for our puppeteers.
