Supermarket collection days

_________________________________________

Supermarket collections are a great way of collecting food and engaging the whole community in helping local people in crisis.  We rely on the help of people like you to make them work.

Could you volunteer?

What happens at a supermarket collection?

A supermarket gives us permission to stand outside their shop and ask members of the public if they could donate a food item(s) to help people in crisis locally.

We give people shopping lists showing the items we need most and they choose what they'd like to buy.  We then collect this from them at our collection point on the way out.  It's simple, easy and effective and only takes one or two hours of each volunteer's time.

How much is collected on supermarket collections days?
